UAB „Metbela“ started its activities in Kaunas, in 2014. The main company’s activity is buying of ferrous scrap from the enterprises purchasing and handling waste metal. The company buys ferrous scrap in bulk shipments, already arranged according to positions and loaded on freight wagons. This scrap metal is exported to Belarus.

The primary purpose of the enterprise is to buy only qualitative scrap metal meeting all relevant requirements and standards.

Guarantee of the company’s success is its responsible attitude towards customers, environmental issues and effective business management.

Due to the ongoing efforts of the company’s managers and employees, UAB “Metbela” is seeking continuous improvement of its shipments quality, to improve the customer service standards. AŠR steel scrap and waste according to GOST 2787. Allowable content of galvanized scrap with impurities in mass: lead (Pb) – not more than 0,01%, tin (Sn) – not more than 0,35%, zinc (Zn) – not more than 5,5%; chromium (Cr) – not more than 0,05%; nickel (Ni) – not more than 0,04%; copper (Cu) – not more than 0,075%.

Tips & Recommendations

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Scrap must be supplied sorted by types, groups and marks. It is not permitted to supply written-off but not disassembled units as scrap.

ACCEPTANCE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Acceptance of scrap and waste is carried out in accordance with the standards STB 2026 and GOST 2787.

A Quality Assurance document (Certificate) must be attached.

METHODS OF CONTROL

Methods of control in accordance with the standards GOST 2787, STB 2026, TU 078100-007-45413739-2005 and TU BY 400074854.038-2009.

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

Scrap is transported and stored in accordance with the standards GOST 2787 and STB 2026.
